Our little ones shriek with pleasure playing with their baby gym. Play is also very good for their development. In this step-by-step we show you how to make one yourself. And when baby grows too old for your baby gym, you can turn it into a smart plant rack.
  1. Step 1: Drill a round hole with the 22 mm spade bit at the top of the 4 regular pieces of wood (3 cm from the edge) Sand down the edges of the holes to remove splinters.
  2. Step 2: Drill 3 mm holes in the rounded wood every 10 cm to thread the cords through. Find the middle point and drill the first holes 5 cm to the left and 5 cm to the right, then drill the next holes a further 10 cm away on each side. The distance between the holes furthest from the middle and the end will be more than 10 cm. Sand the edges of the holes.
  3. Step 3: Drill a small diagonal hole at the midpoint of the 4 regular pieces of wood.
  4. Step 4: Slide each side of the rounded wood into the holes at the top of the two regular pieces of wood.
  5. Step 5: Thread the leather cord through the small holes at the midpoint of the 4 regular pieces of wood to make them stable. Thread a bead onto the cord on the outside and knot the cord.
  6. Step 6: Secure small toys to the end of the other cords and thread these cords through the holes in the rounded wood. Thread a bead onto the cord on the outside and knot the cord. Glue the knots with fast-working glue for added safety.
  7. TIP: When your infant gets too big for the baby gym, simply remove the corded toys and hang plants on S-hooks instead. Now you have a highly original plant rack!
